Is chess related Question on-topic in RPG?

What does table-top RPG actually mean? When I heard of Table-top RPG, it sounds like some game on top of table.

Tabletop games are games that are normally played on a table or other flat surface, such as board games, card games, dice games, miniature wargames, or tile-based games. ~ Wikipedia (After searching little bit I found it)

Is Chess also Table-top game? From the page title, I think that Chess is also Table-top Game.

SE has a different site for Chess. But, if Chess is actually Table-top game than we can ask chess question in Q&A instead of proposing new site.

What type of question on-topic for Chess?

In SE, very beginner question is off-topic (Like which opening is best)? Some times, I see that some move looks like bad move but, computer cast that as Excellent move or great move. Could we ask in the site why they are marking that move as best move?

Can we request people to play with us? If yes, than how should we request them?

Chess is not a tabletop role-playing game.

Tabletop role-playing games involve creating a character, usually with some sort of selection of skills that the character is proficient in, and then role-playing as that character - with the character placed in certain situations and then you act as your character.

TTRPGs will also usually involve rolling dice to see if actions succeed or not.

Chess is a board game, not a role-playing game, and so would be off-topic here.

Also, no, asking other people to play would not be appropriate for the main Q&A site; that'd be more suited to chat.

What about tabletop games like Warhammer? They have more similarities to chess than to D&D. There's no character creation (but rather army/faction creation), no roleplay, but there is dice. There's some fantasy or sci/fi theme.

Lundin‭ I'd say those are also off-topic. This community is for tabletop role-playing games, which that doesn't seem to qualify as.
